Charles Boulden

I'm passionate about our youth and I live to celebrate their successes.  I recognize the importance of an education and I want our students to have the opportunities that I have had. A good life is based on options; options are directly correlated with education.

I am excited to begin my journey as a teacher here at John Muir Charter School!  I have heard nothing but positive outcomes and support from teachers, administrators, and students about John Muir.  Teaching our students and preparing them for life is important, so they may be productive citizens of the community and grow as individuals.  I look forward in seeing what the new school year has to bring!

Education is about inspiring a populous to engage in learning, researching and discovering new information.  Education is a tool that continually transpires over the course of a lifetime and is vitally important to a student's future.  I believe student's lives are crazy, complicated and stressful.  Therefore I believe much of the student's success lies in the hands of the instructor.  The instructor is not only called to be a teacher, but also a motivator, a listener, and a guide.  At John Muir Charter School, I have the unique privilege of being a supporter on the very bright and monumental road to success that many of these students are on.

Katherine Devinna       "JMCS is a unique environment. It fosters growth and allows students to face and overcome many of their past academic failures. The greatest reward of all the effort we as teachers put in is watching our students cross that stage, beaming with pride, as they are awarded their diplomas. We know all the hard work, the risks, and struggles our students have put in and overcome in order to reach this turning point in their lives, and it is what fuels us here at the SFCC to push forward and continue to raise the bar for our students."
