Change Lives: Become a John Muir High School Teacher!

John Muir Charter School serves young adults in local, state and federal youth development programs -- including California Conservation Corps, Local Conservation Corps, YouthBuild, Job Corps and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act programs.

You can help these students take charge of their lives and earn a high school diploma, along with life, job and leadership skills.

More than 110 John Muir Charter School teachers and aides provide high-quality high school instruction to approximately 1400 students each year at 44 locations throughout the state of California.

Muir teachers teach inside and outside the box, as they teach inside and outside the classroom!  While your students are building a trail in a national park or installing fencing at campsites, you can be with them teaching science, math or even computers!

If you are looking for a unique opportunity to really touch lives and make a positive difference, a teaching job at John Muir Charter School may be just right for you.

John Muir Charter School is an equal opportunity employer. John Muir Charter School celebrates diversity in the classroom as well as in its outstanding staff.
