The young women and men of the Corps work hard protecting and restoring California's environment and responding to disasters, becoming stronger workers, citizens and individuals through their service.
CCC MOTTO:
"Hard work, low pay, miserable conditions... and more!"
John Muir Charter School at the Inland CCC offers corpsmembers an educational program that makes a positive impact in the lives of our students, as well as the community.

Inland
Empire Center has approximately 75 corps members. These corp members work on
projects throughout the San Bernardino County and Riverside County areas, including restoration and rebuilding of parks, water districts and national forest. Currently a major project is
the restoration and development of Sycamore Canyon in Riverside. This project has been created through endangered species and beautification of a wildlife
area. Inland also has a fire crew which is kept busy each fire season; firefighting can
involve the entire center
|
John Muir Charter School has approximately 30 students enrolled throughout
the year. Students work at their own pace to achieve their high school diploma.
Plato Web Learning is used to assess each student's ability and help with passing the high school exit exam.
Curriculum such as Math, Science and
History can be individualized to individual student needs. The Inland Empire site usually graduates 20 students each year. These graduates then move on to further education or employment.
