The California Conservation Corps engages young men and women in meaningful work, public service and educational activities that assist them in becoming more responsible citizens, while protecting and enhancing California's environment, human resources and communities.

John Muir Charter School at the Inland Empire CCC offers corpsmembers an educational program that makes a positive impact in the lives of our students, as well as the community.
Preserve, Restore and RebuildTop of Page
Inland Empire Center has approximately 75 corps members. These corp members work on projects throughout the San Bernardino County and Riverside County areas, including restoration and rebuilding of parks, water districts and national forest. Currently a major project is the restoration and development of Sycamore Canyon in Riverside. This project has been created through endangered species and beautification of a wildlife area. Inland also has a fire crew which is kept busy each fire season; firefighting can involve the entire center
Individualized EducationTop of Page
John Muir Charter School has approximately 30 students enrolled throughout the year. Students work at their own pace to achieve their high school diploma. Plato Web Learning is used to assess each student's ability and help with passing the high school exit exam.

Curriculum such as Math, Science and History can be individualized to individual student needs. The Inland Empire site usually graduates 20 students each year. These graduates  then move on to further education or employment.
