Local CC School Sites

The California Association of Local Conservation Corps (CALCC) was formed in 1993 to enable California’s certified Local Conservation Corps to collaborate and to provide a forum to advance the conservation corps movement in California and nationally. CALCC represents 14 statewide certified Local Conservation Corps.

The local conservation corps use innovative approaches to manage scarce resources, conserve energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and provide cost-effective solutions so that today’s youth can learn and participate in communities through environmental work. As an association, CALCC advocates on behalf of the local conservation corps to enable each corps to continue these approaches.

Since the first certified Local Conservation Corps was formed 30 years ago, more than 40,000 young adults have joined the movement.
