| Mojave Basin Youth Corps has been serving the High Desert community since 1999. Our mission is to develop our youth by providing a meaningful education, employment skills and training opportunities through projects that conserve natural resources, increase awareness of recycling and benefit the community.

Mojave Basin Youth Corps' Hesperia site, in partnership with John Muir Charter School, carries an average of forty enrolled students. Located in the Mojave Desert between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Hesperia, California, is part of the greater Victor Valley with a population of approximately 200,000.
The Hesperia site is staffed by Ms. Crystal Ratliff and Mr. Michael Hayhurst. These two teachers bring a combined 18 years of teaching experience to John Muir students, as well as valuable life experience from their past careers in both the private and public sector.
