2005 Graduation
John Muir Charter School at the Camarillo CCC is a diverse program which allows for education to be accessible to all corpsmembers. In addition to serving corpsmembers who are pursuing a high school diploma, we also offer tutoring help to students who are studying for the ASVAB, or who just want to improve on their reading and writing skills. We also utilize a computer lab and library, which allow students to access resources to complete research projects, as well as other educational activities.

One other exciting aspect of our program is that we have developed a great relationship between our school and California State Universery Channel Islands. And, since CSUCI is a university that emphasizes service learning, we have teamed up with several professors to offer the corpsmembers one-on-one tutoring help by university students. In addition, the university students benefit by giving of their time and resources to others, and learning experientially what it means to be service oriented in the community.

We are extremely proud of our program and look forward to making a positive impact in the lives of our students, as well as the community.
